Star Tribune reported Friday Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota said it would be impractical to maintain stay-at-home order until a vaccine is ready.

Walz said he will gradually reopen outdoor activities first like golf courses and shooting ranges, according to Star Tribune.

WDIO reported Walz extended the order, which reduced social interactions by 80 percent, until May 4 during the press conference on April 8.

According to the Minnesota Health Department, the state has a total of 2,071 confirmed COVID-19 cases as of Friday, Star Tribune reported.

Minnesota has a total of 111 deaths, including 17 more deaths that is the largest one-day total ever, according to Star Tribune.
