Gov. Tim Walz closes bars and restaurants to curb spread of COVID-19
According to the Star Tribune, Gov. Tim Walz ordered Monday to close restaurants and bars in Minnesota to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The order covers health clubs, museums, theaters, food courts, malls, and coffee shops and the restaurants are forced to close from 5 p.m. Tuesday, Star Tribune reported.
Star Tribune reported that Walz said Minessota needs to follow some countries where acted aggressively to slow down the spread and now are recovering.
According to the Star Tribune, Minnesota has 54 positive cases of the virus so far and the source of infection of some patients is still not known.
The current end date of closure is March 27 and pickups or deliveries will be allowed, Star Tribune reported.
