Coronavirus In Minnesota: A Look Back At The Endless 1st Month Of Our Fight Against The Virus

By Jane Lee

For this week's analysis, I chose a news piece, reported Friday by WCCO, "Coronavirus In Minnesota: A Look Back At The Endless 1st Month Of Our Fight Against The Virus".

It starts with two anchors introducing what story they are about to show with a more conversational tone like, "We really are stronger together."

The anchor tosses to the reporter and the package begins.

I think it works well by starting with Gov. Tim Walz saying about the first confirmed case in Minnesota because the story is about how it has been changed since the outbreak chronologically.

The reporter uses clear, simple words and also proper B-rolls, the visuals that show how communities have changed during the last few weeks.

After the package, it goes back to the anchors and they have a conversation about the story, telling their feelings and thoughts.
