Minneapolis teacher uses brain games to hone students' focus
By Jane Lee
Minneapolis schools launched new NASA-inspired computer games for the after-school program to help student boost their concentration.
The StarTribune reported that teacher Brianna Jensen at Emerson Spanish Immersion in Minneapolis offers the after-school program for free in order to hone student's attention span. Jensen points out the activities can slowly change how their brain and body react.
When they play various types of games such as the spaceship game or colorful pattern games twice a week, the sensor reads their brain waves to detect their concentration, the StarTribune reported.
The program started with eight students and now it doubled the number because the new training method is appealing to those parents and students, Jensen said.
