According to assistant Hennepin County attorney Patrick Lofton, after Justine Ruszczyk Damond called 911 to report a possible sexual assault near her south Minneapolis home in July 2017, she got on the phone with her fiancé and said, “Oh, the police are here.” She was found shot to death, Star Tribune reported.
Lofton reported that Mohamed Noor, who was a former Minneapolis officer shot her during the opening statement Tuesday with the evidence such as including ballistics, DNA, and fingerprint and blood splatter analysis, according to the Star Tribune.
