At least 50 killed in flash floods in Indonesia

At least 50 people died and about 40 people were injured by the flash flood in the Sentani area of the provincial capital of Indonesia, Jayapura, according to the Indonesia National Disaster Mitigation Agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, CNN News reported.

According to CNN News, Some areas of the province recorded more than 18 inches of rain in the last three days. And, the rescue operation is having a hard time due to downed trees, damaged roads and detritus blocking their paths.

Sutopo said there would be more victims when they get full searched, CNN News reported.
