How South Korea Solved Its Face Mask Shortage

The Diplomat reported Monday South Korea has become an exemplary response amid the worldwide coronavirus pandemic and has more recoveries than infections without city lockdowns and restriction on movements.

Both the U.S and South Korea confirmed the first case of the virus on the same day, January 20, but while South Korea had tested 46,127 patients by the end of February, the U.S had tested 426, according to The Diplomat.

Financial Express reported South Korea tests nearly 20,000 people every day for coronavirus.

The Diplomat reported once a case is confirmed, the Korean government tracks down the movement history and credit card of record of the patient to trace people they contact.

They also use an app to monitor a person, who has to be in quarantine at home, in real-time to see if the person violates the quarantine rules, according to The Diplomat.
