Minnesota Muslim leaders condemn attacks in New Zealand

Muslim community leaders in Minnesota had a news conference on Friday to express their response to the mass murder incident at mosques in New Zealand, Star Tribune reported.

After the massive killings targeted prayers at mosques discovered all around the world, the leaders empathize the law enforcement to provide more security support in Minnesota, according to Star Tribune.

Also, the state Attorney General Keith Ellison, who is the first Muslim officer, said his office is planning to force law enforcement in order to reduce the white supremacy, Star Tribune reported. 

Imam Asad Zaman, addressing the packed room at Dar Al-Farooq, said, “Today is the time for us to hang on to our Muslim identity and be proud of it; today is not the day to run away.”
