A school bus driver got shot in a road rage incident on an interstate 35W near Chicago Avenue around 2p.m. on Tuesday and the gunman immediately arrested, Star Tribune reported.

District spokesman Dirk Tedmon said a student was seated at the very back of the bus and was unharmed. But the driver was taken by emergency medical personnel for surgery at HCMC, police spokesman John Elder said.

Elder added that previously there was some dispute due to a motor vehicle accident and it eventually caused the gunfire.

Minneapolis police are attempting to the further investigation and plan to announce more about the incident later Tuesday, Star Tribune reported.
