Minnesota Weather: Bitter Blast Brings Coldest Morning Seen In Decades

Minnesota experienced the coldest morning with a wind chill as cold as 60 below in decades and it causes school closings.

According to the CBS Minnesota (WCCO), Twin Cities dipped to 28 below zero and wind ill is almost matching the all-time record of 70 blew. The entire state, especially along with the Upper Midwest is under the wind chill warning, the National Weather Service reported.

Schools across the state decided to close for days or shorten the open hours due to the extreme cold, WCCO reported. 

WCCO reported a slight warm-up will be expected from Thursday afternoon, and the temperature will recover highs above zero on Friday.
